GET READY TO ROCK: SCHOOL OF ROCK NASHUA TO CELEBRATE GRAND OPENING ON July 1, 2025

Nashau, NH – School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its newest location in Nashua, New Hampshire. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 225 Daniel Webster Hwy, Nashua, NH 03060. The community is invited to join the celebration, which will include guided tours of the school, live music, jam sessions, games and prizes, free ice cream (starting at 2:00 p.m. for the first 100 guests), and a guitar smashing ceremony to officially mark the occasion. ​ 

School of Rock Nashua is owned and operated by Andy McKenna, a longtime local resident with over three decades of experience as an engineer and business consultant. An amateur musician, he began playing piano and saxophone around the age of seven and formed his first rock band with neighborhood friends at just twelve years old. After spending over 20 years living in the Nashua area and frequenting the city for its vibrant cultural events, opening a School of Rock in the city felt like a natural next chapter.

“After a long career in tech and management, I knew I wanted to pour my energy into something that would make a meaningful difference and touch lives in my community,” said McKenna. “Given my lifelong connection to music, School of Rock was the perfect fit. 

More than a music school, School of Rock Nashua aims to become a space where creativity, connection, and confidence are built through performance-based learning and collaboration.

“For me personally, some of the most important relationships in my life have been formed through music,” McKenna added. “Music builds lifelong friendships, and I want to provide that opportunity to aspiring students in the greater Nashua area.”

The grand opening festivities will continue into the evening with an “after-party” mid-season performance by School of Rock Nashua’s Rock 101, Performance, and Adult groups just a mile away at Spyglass Brewing Company in Nashua, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. The event will also feature a special appearance by the house band from School of Rock Berwyn, PA.

School of Rock Nashua offers music programs for all skill levels and age groups, from children as young as four to adults looking to reignite their passion for music. Students receive weekly one-on-one instruction on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, or vocals, and participate in group rehearsals where they learn to play as a band. Through School of Rock’s patented performance-based approach, students gain real-world experience performing live in local venues while building essential life skills like collaboration, creativity, discipline, and confidence.
